In 2015, Adega celebrates its 20th anniversary. During these years, Adega went from a micro business to a midsize company, with a total of 15 employees.
2000 – We break through
Adega has been focusing on retail from the early beginnings, and produced software for small retail businesses. As the years went by, Adega did not only aqcuire more, but also larger clients. In 2001 came the major breakthrough with „Pick-Pay“; a 250 branches strong discount supermarket, which was the market leader at the time.
2005 – we go online
We realised very soon, that the future lies in internet technology and presented the first web-based retail solution for the EUROSHOP in Düsseldorf. Bose has become Adegas first client with 20 company owned flagship stores in Germany, England and Italy. In 2006, Freitag Lab has chosen Adega as their retail solution. Through business associates in Germany, Adega has aqcuired other prestigious clients such as Bahlsen from Hannover and Griessen de Beukelaer. Also nonfood clients like DSPX, have joined with their outdoor segment.
2010 – we expanded
Adega affiliates merces® GmbH, who successfully places and maintains Adega products on the museum and event market. 9 large and 10 smaller museums have been equipped with Adega solutions. Merces® has been acquiring new clients in all other retail sectors and by the end of 2014, Adega products are being used in 15 European countries, Japan and the United States.
