ERP for Retail<\/h3>\r\n

It was actually supposed to be a winery \u2013 but Adega ended up becoming a software startup.<\/p>\r\n

1995 was the era of Microsoft Windows 3.1 and the first programming languages for Windows. At that time, there was no merchandise management solution for Windows PCs, leading to the creation of the first complete solution featuring purchasing, delivery management, inventory, price control, recipes, and shelf labeling. <\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n

Scaling for 250 Stores<\/h3>\r\n

From the beginning, Adega focused on the retail sector and produced software for SMEs. Over the years, customers not only became more numerous but also larger. The breakthrough came in 2001 with 250 branches at Pick-Pay, the leading food discounter in Switzerland at the time. <\/p>\r\n

Rollouts of 250 branches require systematic and automated processes to maintain homogeneous and stable systems that are easy to maintain remotely. With the help of its subcontractors, Adega can also professionally master international rollouts. <\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

First Web Backend<\/h3>\r\n

Adega realized very early on that the future lies in the internet. In 2006, the first web-based retail solution was presented at EUROSHOP in D\u00fcsseldorf. The first customer was Bose, with 20 of its own flagship stores in Germany, England, and Italy at the time. <\/p>\r\n

Freitag Lab also chose Adega in 2006. Through partners in Germany, Adega gained significant customers such as Bahlsen from Hanover or Griesson de Beukelaer. In the non-food sector, customers like DSPX with the entire outdoor segment also joined. <\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n

International + fiscalized<\/h3>\r\n

Through expansion into various countries, solutions for international payment systems and fiscalization are developed. By the end of 2014, Adega products were already in use in 15 countries in Europe, Japan, and the USA. <\/p>\r\n

At Euroshop 2014, Adega presented mobile POS systems for Android tablets for the first time.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

Mobile POS Systems<\/h3>\r\n

Adega is entering the market with its latest product line, Storepad2. As early as January 2015, several locations were installed in Zurich. Storepad2 is a consulting and checkout system in one \u2013 and far ahead of the competition. <\/p>\r\n

Adega operates a new server for fair-trade and organic products, on which small businesses that meet fair-social-ecology guidelines can operate their systems cost-effectively.<\/p>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n \r\n

Omni-Channel<\/h3>\r\n

Retail is under pressure \u2013 online trade is increasingly penetrating sectors that were previously excluded due to logistical or product-specific factors: fresh food\/groceries, clothing, shoes.<\/p>\r\n

Adega offers omni-channel solutions where customers shop online via the web shop and pick up in-store, or can view in-store availability online and reserve items or have them delivered to their home.<\/p>\r\n
